socially conscious investing

Paul and I had a talk about socially conscious investing. He explained that the idea of only buying stocks that match my strict criteria of investing does not actually benefit the company I am buying, unless it is an initial public offering. Even so, I still like the idea of only buying socially conscious companies that match my criteria. With that in mind, how do the companies on this link perform (socially and financially)?
